My Journey to a Balanced Life...

Hello, my name is Nele.

I have always been passionate about movement, nature, travel, and living a healthy lifestyle. My own journey has taught me that true wellness is not about quick fixes—it is about creating balance in the way we move, nourish, and care for our bodies.

Through my personal experiences and years of learning, I discovered the powerful connection between massage therapy, nutrition, posture, and movement. When these elements are balanced, they can help reduce discomfort, improve mobility, increase energy, and support long-term well-being.

My passion for health and wellness started with my own struggles. For many years, I experienced chronic fatigue, even after getting plenty of sleep. At the time, I was very active, playing competitive soccer and participating in many hours of physical activity each week. Although I was eating enough, I eventually realized my body was missing the quality nutrition it needed to truly thrive. This experience sparked my lifelong interest in nutrition and the important role it plays in energy, recovery, and overall health.

In 2026, I completed the Food Matters Nutrition Certification Course to deepen my understanding of how nutrition could support my own health, including my autoimmune condition, vitiligo. I discovered how much the quality of our food choices can influence the way we feel and function every day.

My interest in posture and body mechanics began after I was advised to stop playing soccer due to cartilage damage in my right knee. Losing a sport I loved was challenging, but it also inspired me to understand the body on a deeper level. I began searching for ways to improve movement, prevent injuries, and restore balance. Today, I continue working on my own body awareness while enjoying activities such as skiing, swimming and hiking pain-free.

Wanting to remain connected to the sports community, I began my journey in sports massage therapy in Belgium in 2012. Helping others understand their bodies, recover, and perform at their best became a natural extension of my own experiences.

This journey led to the creation of Start 2 Balance.

My goal is to help you understand your body, identify the root causes of discomfort, and create healthy habits that fit your lifestyle. Whether you are looking for pain relief, injury recovery, improved posture, better movement, or simply a greater sense of well-being, I am here to support you with a personalized, whole-body approach.
